About Camino Guidebooks by Village to Village Press!

We aim for this website to be a portal into all things camino, with first-rate practical resources as well as inspiration photos and reflections.

We are Camino pilgrims ourselves, having walked the Camino various times. We hope our website and guides help others to enjoy the rich experiences of the Camino in life-changing ways, as we have.

If you enjoy this website, we think you will also enjoy our Camino guidebooks. Our books are chock-full of practical resources, with excellent maps, town amenities, historical information, and prices and amenities of a wide variety of accommodations along the way. In short, this is the guidebook we wish we’d had as pilgrims!

About Us

Anna Dintaman and David Landis are the cofounders of Village to Village Press and bring over 15 years of experience working with walking and cycling routes in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, as well as in their home area in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Both are avid hikers and cyclists, with experiences ranging from backpacking Patagonia and Nepal, to hiking in the Middle East and biking across the USA. David cofounded the Jesus Trail, a hiking trail that connects sites from the life of Jesus and developed the TransVirginia gravel bikepacking route.

They have shared a deep love for the Camino since they each first took a 500-mile journey on the Camino Franc.s in 2009. They enjoy introducing their children to the joys of walking, the outdoors, and learning from other cultures.

Matthew Harms is a walker and cyclist, at heart a traveler who believes in slower forms of transportation that allow for a closer understanding of people, communities, and landscapes. He spent many years in the Balkans and Middle East, helping to develop hiking routes in both regions. He has traveled thousands of miles on foot and by bike in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States, and he is currently based in Colorado, where he works as a nurse when not traveling or exploring the Rocky Mountains.

Village to Village Press, LLC specializes in publishing hiking guidebooks and supporting trail development projects, especially with an emphasis on pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago and in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions. Visit www.villagetovillagepress.com.
